PROFILE

MARVIN ALLEN ANFINSON was born in Iowa over sixty years ago. His family relocated to California when he was five years old. Marvin has continued to make California his home. He and his wife Dianna have a blended family of four daughters. Marvin and Dianna live together with their two canine kids Lyza Mae and Kiya Marie(Yorkies) and his parrot Luna. They currently reside in the high elevations of the Los Padres National Forest in Kern County. His only sibling Mary, also remains in California and resides in Norco.

Marvin has had a forty-year love for the art of photography, all of his adult life but it was not until his recent retirement as an Electronic Engineer that he has been able to devote his full time and effort into his craft. His first opportunity in photography presented itself while serving honorably in our nations armed services at Fort Sill, Oklahoma where, he purchased his first camera at the PX for the hefty sum of fifty dollars.

Many cameras have come and gone since then and the emergence of digital photography processed on a computer has renewed his passion in photography. One need only visit his website to admire the scope of his interests and talent. He has had the honor of being published in Photographer’s Forum Magazine’s “Best of Photography’s Annual” in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
